CMS

What is a CMS? CMS stands for 'Content Management System'. Our CMS is a carefully designed system to allow you to easily make changes to your web site. The goal with our CMS is to make all of the basic functions readily available without the clutter of advanced features. This allows you to quickly do what you want, without wading through setting after setting of features you will probably use once in your entire use of the system.

Along the same philosophy in targeting the end-user, we do not 'bloat' the system with countless functions for advanced template and layout changes. This not only serves as a confusion, but frequently the carefully optimized layout you paid for can easily become ruined.

Furthermore, against the grain of many other CMSs we customize both the layout and the CMS to the application, this is to avoid useless and confusing items that are not relevant to what you have in place. We recognize that you are not paying to have us put something in place that is for you, Jim, and Joe down the street, you want something that is made for you!

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization. This has become a buzzphrase in the web design market, everyone is talking about search engines and how to show up on the top these days.

There are many important steps to follow, the most important is to update your page frequently. This is something we can do for you, or you make the changes yourself with our CMS. The recommended update time is at least once per week. Why? Firstly, Google will 'spider', or check, your page for changes based upon the frequency of your updates. If you update it a lot then Google will come by more often, if it is only once a month, don't count on Google coming by that often. So, you can see the potential for Google not visiting your site for changes. The second reason is that Google will rank a site higher if it updates its content more often.

Another part of optimization is to build your page around keywords most important to your business. In doing this you want to use the same phrases you expect your potential visitors to be searching with, preferably one major term per page. This can be a project of its own. These are just two of the many aspects in the process. At Ardent Flame we are here to assist you in building you successful web marketing campaign, deploying cutting-edge strategies to make the best possible campaign.

Search Engine Optimization, with the increasing use of web searching and googling is producing hundreds of hits, sometimes thousands, for sites. Stay on the cutting edge with web technology with a properly search engine optimized site!
